p.Metrics Ltd is an internationally respected British company specialising in the development of high quality computer-based initial assessment materials.
We were founded in 1995 by a team of Chartered Occupational Psychologists specialising in assessment within the education sector. Over the years we have worked with many government departments in both advisory roles and as a development partner. We have worked with QCA, FEDA, the LSDA and others within the key skills arena. International projects include the €500,000 euro CHOICES project funded as part of the EU Leonardo da Vinci programme. Outcomes will include a predictive ICT assessment tool that is to be used across the EU to help best fit jobseekers to IT training courses. We have also been involved with the development of several unique products that screen individuals for Dyslexia and other impairments, e.g. CoPS, CoPS Baseline etc., with Lucid Research Ltd. More recently we have been involved in designing recruitment tests for IT trainees and staff who will be implementing the NHS Dataspine as part of the The National Programme for IT (NPfIT).
Our key test series for the education and training sector is the Sherwood Test Series. These tests encompass the three key skills of Literacy, Numeracy & ICT. Partner inventories enable diagnosis of learning styles and preferences.
All tests in our portfolio are designed from the ground-up to be used in mission critical environments where hundreds of learners’ can be assessed simultaneously.
